MGNREGS is the primary investor in rural water resource management. However for sustainable resource management, co-financing from relevant schemes and areas of convergence with line departments are crucial. The important schemes that are mapped for co-financing are Kudimaramathu, Sahi Fasal, Catch the rain, Sub mission on Agro-forestry, Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture, National Livestock Mission, Fisheries development and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yogaja - Per Drop More Crop. Besides, potential areas for convergence at the state/district levels were identified for action:
